Marsannay Burgundy Tonnellerie        Intermedio

MARSANNAY of Burgundy

Another long standing cooperage also part of the NADALIE Group. This highly respected cooperage with access to the NADALIE Group experience and resources is consistently achieving wonderful results. This small cooperage uses only three years seasoned, extra tight grain French oak from a variety of forests / regions. Marsannay’s barrels offer softer, more subtle flavors for white and red varieties in particular cooler climate fruit and/or less weighted wines. Soft, complex integration enhancing the fruit.

INTERMEDIO

After much developmental work in the sourcing and in-house seasoning of this oak in our yards and control, this oak offer excellent value. The INTERMEDIO is oak from an assemblage of East European countries priced very competitively without compromising the highest standards! The INTERMEDIO offers another ingredient in your winemaking recipe with tight grain oak and a specific toast style resulting in up front aromatics with softness & spice. Made in France by NADALIE.

Superior quality control

By owning the facilities in France, Chile and the United States, Nadalie offers not only superior quality control but also the ability to manufacture custom-made products to your specifications.

Nadalie has established strict production parameters to control all its processes including milling, splitting, seasoning, grain selection and production.

French CTB (Centre Technique du Bois) inspections and certification ensure integrity of source of oak, traditional barrel making methods and aging of planks.

Nadalie's intricate tracability system ensures Nadalie can guarantee the origin of the wood used to make barrels from the forest to the cask.

Oaks and oak products

The range of oak used includes French, American and Eastern European. With the inevitable growth of alternative products, Nadalie has expanded its range to keep in sync with the industry's requirements for top quality products. They include: WINEWOOD™ (Planks), Chips, Dominoes, Blocks, Cubes, Barrel inserts, Barrel chains (Chapelets) and Powders.

Trials of these products consistently prove that Nadalie's attention to detail and the use of only correctly seasoned and fire toasted oak results in the highest performance and a preferred status (from winery trials) amongst Australia's leading vignerons.

Air drying over several years, tight to medium grains and oak fire toasting of the wood are all essential elements and are conducted at the highest possible level to maintain quality and consistency.

Specifications of the wood or toasting (temperatures, contact time and intensity) can be altered to achieve a more consistent or specific flavour profile for the winemaker.
